FINAL DESTINATION Was Originally an Episode Script for THE X-FILES

According to the Nerdist article, the horror franchise "Final Destination" was originally conceived as a spec script for an episode of "The X-Files." Jeffrey Reddick, the creator of the concept, wrote the script with the intention of submitting it to the popular science fiction show. However, after a friend who worked at New Line Cinema read it and saw its potential as a film, Reddick was encouraged to develop it into a feature-length movie instead. This ultimately led to the creation of the "Final Destination" franchise, focusing on characters who cheat death only to be hunted down by a malevolent force correcting the natural order.
