FEAR STREET: PROM QUEEN Trailer Shows the Scariest Shadyside Story So Far

The first trailer for Netflix's upcoming movie, Fear Street: Prom Queen, has been released, marking a return to the cursed town of Shadyside. Set in 1988, the film follows the intense competition among Shadyside High's popular girls vying for the Prom Queen title.

However, the prom season turns deadly when a mysterious, masked killer emerges and begins brutally murdering the candidates one by one. The trailer showcases classic slasher tropes – a determined killer, terrified teens, bloody violence, and suspense – set against the backdrop of 80s high school prom culture.

While part of the Fear Street universe based on R.L. Stine's books, Prom Queen is a standalone story, separate from the Sarah Fier curse plotline of the 2021 trilogy (1994, 1978, 1666). The film is directed by Matt Palmer and features a cast including India Fowler, Suzanna Son, Fina Strazza, David Iacono, Ella Rubin, Chris Klein, Lili Taylor, and Katherine Waterston.

Fear Street: Prom Queen promises a terrifying, bloody night in Shadyside and is listed as "coming soon" to Netflix, with no specific release date announced yet.
