DC Comics has announced the first-ever ongoing solo series for the popular anti-hero Red Hood (Jason Todd).
Key Details:
Premise of the Series:
The story follows Jason Todd as he returns to "The Hill," a neighborhood in his hometown of Gotham City. He finds that a new, ruthless crime boss named Korlee Jr. has taken control. To fight back and protect the neighborhood's residents, Jason assembles a new team of "outlaws." This new crew includes a vigilante named Strike and new interpretations of classic Batman villains Killer Croc and Toyman.
Significance:
This is a major milestone for the character. Despite his popularity since his resurrection, Jason Todd has never had his own solo ongoing title, having previously only led team books like Red Hood and the Outlaws. The new series will launch as a six-issue story and is part of a new DC initiative.
