You're Not What You Do

In this episode, we continue our conversation on the topic of purpose and discuss the difference between your purpose and an assignment. It's so easy to attach ourselves to an assignment God gives us and lose sight of our identity. We find ourselves wrapped up in the relationships that are connected to that assignment and when the grace lifts it can feel like the world is crumbling. The fact is your purpose is fulfilled from assignment to assignment but that doesn't mean one assignment makes up the totality of your purpose. "I'm not what I do, I'm not what I have..." is a phrase our kids declare every day before school. It helps us all stay grounded in our identity in Christ and work from a place of grace.
