In today's episode of Navigate The Day, I delve into the power of a mantra and its potential to shape our thoughts and actions. I share my personal struggles with finding mantras that resonate with me and how I've drawn inspiration from Marcus Aurelius and Ryan Holiday to come up with my own. The mantra I've settled on is, "I have the power within to resist negative influences and maintain control over my thoughts and actions."
I also discuss the concepts of responsibility and accountability and how they play a role in our lives. I reflect on my own experiences with blaming outside forces for my unhappiness and how I need to take more accountability for my actions. I also touch on my recent therapy sessions, where it was suggested that I may have ADHD and how it doesn't change my belief that I have control over my response to it.
I encourage listeners to reflect on their own mantra and to be authentic when coming up with it. Life is about making adjustments incrementally, as we and our goals change with time and experience. I hope that this episode helps listeners to find their own personal mantra that can help them navigate their day.
