In this episode of "Navigate The Day," I dive into the concept of being invincible by exploring my power to choose. The quote by Epictetus, "Who then is invincible? The one who cannot be upset by anything outside of their reasoned choice," sets the tone for my discussion.
I reflect on my own journey towards cultivating invincibility and share my experiences with losing my cool and how I've been working on handling my emotions better. I also talk about the importance of identifying my values and priorities in life, and using that as a framework for making decisions.
I highlight the significance of information gathering and considering the pros and cons before making a decision. I also emphasize that developing reasoned choice takes practice and patience, but by being intentional and consistent in my decision-making process, I can improve my ability to make well-thought-out choices.
I draw inspiration from the teachings of ancient stoics and modern stoics such as Ryan Holiday to live better and become invincible to the struggles of life. I remind myself that the journey towards invincibility takes time and patience, but the work is worth it, and with time and practice, I will become stronger and more resilient to the challenges life throws at me.
