In this episode of Navigate the Day, I delve into the topic of fear and worry and how they can hold us back from achieving our goals. Fear is a self-fulfilling prophecy, and I believe that action is the best way to conquer it before it conquers us.
To overcome my fears and worries, I first identify the root cause and categorize them into things I can control and things I cannot control. I also challenge my negative thoughts by asking for evidence or looking for alternative perspectives.
It's important to focus on things I can control, such as my thoughts and conduct, to feel empowered and let go of stress and worry. I also practice self-compassion, positive self-talk, and seek support from friends, family, or a therapist when needed.
Overcoming fear and worry takes time and practice, and I remind myself to be gentle and patient with my progress. I have been seeing a therapist for almost a year and a half now and it has made a real difference in helping me navigate my fears and worries. Remember that seeking help is never a sign of weakness. Keep working on it, and you will be on your way to overcoming your fears and worries.
