In today's episode of Navigate The Day, we take a closer look at the concept of avoiding unnecessary conflict in our lives. I reflect on my personal experiences with seeking out strife, often driven by a fear of being still and an addiction to activity. I realize that by doing so, I'm throwing myself into conflict that I don't need to be in, and that this can compromise the quality of my work.
I discuss the idea of struggle being noble, but only if it's for the right reasons. I admit to being guilty of relying on others for my self-worth and worrying about letting people down. However, I recognize that this is not healthy and I need to stop feeding into these fears.
I also touch on the danger of letting opinion dictate our actions, and how this can poison our progress. I acknowledge that avoiding conflict is easier said than done, especially if we don't realize that we're actively seeking it.
In summary, I want to emphasize the importance of focusing on our goals, and being okay with calm from time to time. I want to make sure that my work is of a higher caliber and deeper focus, so that I don't find myself filled with regret down the road. Remember, it's okay to seek peace instead of war.
