Reflecting on the prompt, I must admit that I haven't always lived up to the ideals of a leader. In the past, I sought validation and recognition for my actions, rather than focusing on selfless service. However, I realize that leadership extends beyond official titles or positions—it begins within ourselves and the influence we have on others.

As the oldest in my family, I have unknowingly served as a leader, guiding and setting an example for my younger siblings. The impact of our actions, both seen and unseen, can inspire others to emulate our behavior. Therefore, it's essential to embody the values we wish to instill in others.

Being a leader requires us to lead by example, even when we may not feel ready or prepared for the role. It means embracing the responsibility of doing good for the sake of goodness itself. Teaching others through our actions, we can create a ripple effect of kindness and compassion in our communities.

While I may have stumbled in the past, I am committed to being a better leader moving forward. This includes being mindful of how I interact with others, being kind, and providing support wherever possible. I want to cultivate a sense of fulfillment through selfless service, both to those closest to me and to strangers I encounter along my journey.

As I navigate this new season of life, I am determined to shed my selfish tendencies and prioritize the well-being of others. Small acts of kindness, whether it's holding a door open or offering a helping hand, can make a significant impact. I am reminded of the joy that comes from giving without expecting anything in return.

It's time for me to let go of complaints and embrace gratitude for what I have. By shifting my focus to serving others, I believe I can become a better leader, ready to make a positive difference in the lives of those around me. Together, let's embark on this journey of selfless leadership and inspire others to do the same.
