2025 May 26 - Spiral Galaxy NGC 2566 from Webb

In today's image, we see the barred spiral galaxy known as NGC 2566 as imaged by the James Webb Space Telescope. The cross pattern at the center of the galaxy is an artifact of the Webb's optics and not a part of the galaxy itself.
