2024 December 03 - Ice Clouds over a Red Planet

In today's image, we see clouds in the atmosphere of Mars as viewed by the Perseverance rover on Mars earlier this year. The clouds are composed of ice crystals since the atmospheric pressure on Mars is too low to allow for liquid water.
