2023 May 08 - The Spanish Dancer Spiral Galaxy

In today's image, we see the galaxy sometimes known as the Spanish Dancer galaxy. This is an example of a grand design spiral galaxy with majestic spiral arms around the core of the galaxy. It is also an example of a Seyfert galaxy which is a type of active spiral galaxy.
