2023 June 05 - In the Center of the Triffid Nebula

In today's image, we see the Triffid Nebula, also known as M20. The three dust lanes across the center of the nebula give it its name. In this we are seeing a region off star formation with the red glow of gas due to emission from hydrogen atoms and the blue of the reflection of light off dust particles around young stars.
