2023 January 19 - The Seagull Nebula

In today's image, we see the Seagull Nebula, a star forming region in the constellation of Canis Major, the large dog. This constellation also contains the brightest star in the night sky, Sirius. We see the gas and dust of the star forming region as well as a runaway star with its blue bow shock.
