2023 January 10 - NGC 2264: The Cone Nebula

In today's image, we see the Cone Nebula, also known as NGC 2264. This is an example of a star forming region. The Cone Nebula is being shaped and sculpted by a massive star not visible here, but just off the top of the image. The red glow in the image is due to the glow of hydrogen gas.
