2022 October 09 - Auroras over Northern Canada

In today's image, we see an image showing the aurora over Northern Canada. The aurora are caused when charged particles from the Sun strike Earth's magnetic field and are funneled to the poles. When the p[articles strike oxygen atoms, they can emit a green glow as seen here.
