Dasakam 020 - Sloka 010

शयुव्रतं गोमृगकाकचर्यां चिरं चरन्नाप्य परं स्वरूपं ।

दवाहृताङ्ग: कुटकाचले त्वं तापान् ममापाकुरु वातनाथ ॥१०॥

Śayuvrataṁ gomṛgakākacaryāṁ

Ciraṁ carannāpya paraṁ svarūpam ।

Davāhṛtāṅgaḥ kuṭakācale tvaṁ

Tāpān mamāpākuru vātanātha ॥10॥

ஶயுவ்ரதம் கோம்ருககாகசர்யாம்

சிரம் சரன்னாப்ய பரம் ஸ்வரூபம் ।

தவாஹ்ருதாங்க: குடகாசலே த்வம்

தாபாந் மமாபாகுரு வாத³நாத³ ॥10॥

Observing the ways of the life of a python, a cow, a deer, and a crow, Thou wandered about for long, attaining identity with the Supreme Brahman. Thy body then perished in the forest fire in the Coorg mountains. O Lord of Guruvaayur! Deign to eradicate my afflictions.
