Getting Married While Worlds Apart~ Meet Travis

This week we talk with Travis. Travis is married to Itzel and they have 3 beautiful children. He brought a daughter to the relationship, she brought a son. Together they made a third....a boy. Here's where it gets weird.....

Travis lives in the United States and Itzel is in Mexico. They clearly love each other and have had a "love at first sight" relationship. They dated, he met the family, all of those "traditional" type things....then they married and had a baby. But, because they were in a relationship, she can't come live with him here because of red tape. Sure they're working on it...and it WILL happen. Sometime.

Are we no further as a society than it taking YEARS to get a dentist from Mexico into the United States LEGALLY with her husband and family? This, my friends, gives a look at the "other side". Travis and Itzel shouldn't be apart or spending THOUSANDS of dollars to see each other due to bureaucracy, right? They are doing it legally....and have been. For YEARS.

We celebrate a few things this week...including Jamies upcoming birthday. Money is tight so Michael Bolton did the discounted birthday greeting....you'll see.
