This is part 1 of a 2 part interview with Jess Hooker. If you don't recognize her as a podcaster from "Not Terrible Podcast" or "Off the Air with Chick McGee" or as a regular on The Bob and Tom Show; then you may recall her as an activist working hard to bring awareness to Epilepsy.

Jess has been an open book, allowing most of her story to play out very publicly through her various social media and podcast endeavors.....and that's ok, it's how she prefers it. It seems she hopes to share her story in hopes to help another.....clearly, she's a helper at heart.

Listen in as we hear about Jess's journey with podcasting, relationships, and reflection. More importantly, listen to her describe her son, Max, with pride about how responsible he feels for his sister Addi. You'll also hear a story from Jess as a mother learning her daughter, Addi, has a very rare form of epilepsy....and how after 6 years of searching they may have found treatment to help manage Addi's seizures.

We had a great time doing this interview. Jess had nothing to gain for lending us her time and she did it without hesitation and was very forthcoming during our time there. We appreciate every bit of it and hope you will too.
