S3-32 A MORE EXCELLENT WAY

The purpose of gathering as a church is not to get educated or experience a "spiritual fix." Instead, our goal is to grow in God, learning how to live in a manner that adequately gives Him due praise, honor, and glory. "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in Spirit and in truth" (John 4:24). We are to worship Him with understanding, not in ignorance! "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord" (Colossians 3:16). King David wrote, "I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth… I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears." (Psalm 34:1 & 4) There is power and deliverance in praise!
