Brother Desmond Singh reminds us that the Book of Revelations is a book of symbols. The visions the apostle John received on the isle of Patmos were prophetic glimpses into the future concerning end-time events. Hence in Revelations, we see Christ's church described in Chapter 12 as a virtuous woman clothed with the sun. By contrast, in Chapter 17, we discover a whore described as representing false religion. These are important images for us to interpret, for their meaning has profound implications for our lives.
