S2 - #19 FLEE IDOLATRY

It is not without good cause that Brother Singh holds an uncompromising position against worldly views and practices. The apostle Paul planted a vibrant church at Corinth to have it backslide to damnation under apostate leadership after he departed. God called His chosen people "a sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity ..." (Isaiah 1:4). Despite having been delivered from the bondage of slavery, God's people backslid to the point of desiring the rudiments of their former masters' lifestyle. In plain language, "God asked, "What do you gain by going to Egypt to drink the waters of the Nile? Or what do you gain by going to Assyria to drink the waters of the Euphrates?" (Jeremiah 2:18)
