#667 A BLESSED SERVICE (Br. John, 9-08-24)

Sixty-six years ago, Brother John accepted Jesus in his native Jamaica. Although he became an internationally acclaimed runner, God steadfastly fixed his heart on the faithful service of our Lord. He testifies of having "a treasure in his earthen vessel, that the excellency of the power may be of God, not of himself. Life has been challenging for him. He is troubled on every side, yet not distressed;  perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed." (2 Corinthians 4:7-9, applied)
