Language changes over time. Published in 1611, the King James Version of the Bible used Elizabethan (or Shakespearean)English, so CHARITY means something different today than it did 400 years ago. Modern translations use "love," most essentially, God's unconditional Love. The second word we need to clarify is "tongues." Tongues refers to the term languages.
