Sanctification is progressive. It takes time to overcome our fallen human nature, surrender our love of the world, and learn to resist temptation. This reality is beautifully described in 2 Peter 1:4-6. When taught by God's anointed ministry, the lesson motivates our hearts to seek the divine nature offered to us through Christ Jesus.
