Today, Wednesday, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi received a phone call from US President Joseph Biden, discussing the latest developments in the situation in Iraq after the recent events.
A government statement said, "During the call, President Joseph Biden expressed the United States' support for an independent and sovereign Iraq, as set out in the Strategic Framework Agreement between the United States and Iraq."
Biden praised "the role of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi and his wise leadership during the escalation of political tensions and the recent security events in the country," according to the statement.
