On today’s episode, I had the pleasure of interviewing Health and Wellness coach, Erin Treloar from Raw Beauty. Erin and I dive into the conversation surrounding self-love and ending the battle with food & your body. Erin gets raw and real about her struggle with anxiety, depression, and her own battle with an eating disorder. She discusses how she overcame it and how it has impacted her journey to get to where she is today. Erin decided to start a blog called "Raw Beauty Talks" after realizing the effect of the media on women’s body image. Her blog showcases women in photographs without makeup or photo editing - projecting their real, raw, and authentic self. Raw beauty imagines a world where women are valued for their brains and hearts over their appearance. Raw Beauty is dedicated to helping women live from a place of self-love.On this episode we dive into: Erin’s own personal journey and struggle with her body and her relationship with food. How Erin’s past has got her to where she is now.How to gain self-love and what this really means. The importance of slowing down and taking care of ourselves during these times. The importance of having a clear, healthy mindset. Advice on how to conquer stress, anxiety, and self-love.Getting clear on who you want to become and how you truly want to show up in life.Getting to know yourself: understanding what works for you and what doesn’t.The take-home: So many women are dealing with a mental capacity that is so focused on their body, the number on the scale, and what they're eating or not eating. As a result, they constantly feel out of control when it comes to their relationship with food. Erin created a program called, “The Shift” to help combat this, which dives into eating well to nourish our bodies and our minds. It's important for women to understand that we simply can’t do it all. We constantly try to juggle too much at a time. Instead, we need to do our best to lower our expectations of ourselves because, in reality, we will burn out if we continue on the same path. To see changes in your lifestyle, Erin highly recommends having some sort of support network in your life, practicing self-love daily, and finding out what type of daily routine works for you specifically. If we are constantly comparing ourselves to the filtered photoshopped versions of women that we see in media, we are creating a false perception of reality which is ultimately, unattainable. So take a breath. Slow down and choose to love yourself for who you are. Keep moving one step forward each day in love and gratitude for the woman standing in front of your mirror. We are stronger and wiser when we love ourselves first. Get in touch with Erin:Business Instagram:@rawbeautytalksPersonal Instagram: @erintreloarEmail: [email protected]: www.rawbeauty.co
