Today I had the pleasure of interviewing Jenn Forgie - a professional actor and writer who supports women who are ready to reconnect with their truest, essential selves so that they can move toward living their best life with joy and ease. Jenn's story is unique and so powerful, enjoy!Jenn's story: In late 2012, Jenn’s 19-year relationship ended, and with that, her entire life changed as she knew it. She felt like she lost her role in life; her social structure, family, community, identity, and so many other things that come with spending most of your life with someone else. She goes on to share that most importantly, she had lost connection to herself and her passions. Once she was on her own, she started to realize that she had been pushing her own passions aside all of those years and was instead living a complicit life ultimately shaping her current self-worth. She realized pretty quickly that after all of those years, she was afraid of being big and instead stayed small - because she was comfortable. What's interesting about her story is that her life long relationship was not horrible. She had lived a really great life with her partner and in general, they were very happy - but as Jenn dove into working on her self-worth, she woke up one day and realized she wanted to become more connected to who she was. Jenn describes this as outgrowing the situation she was in, and the words just came out of her mouth one day that she was ready to move on.Thoughts on hard decisions and stepping into your truest self: Jenn lives by the mantra that "Everything is happening for me, not to me." This helps her to feel grounded and sit in the patience of not knowing - and to sit in the not knowing exactly, “how do I work this out.” She shares that if you sit humbly with this in full understanding that it will work itself out, the solution will come simultaneously as you figure out what you really want for yourself. “We’re always growing - and sometimes we get blocked on this journey, but have the trust in your higher faith and always continue to stay true to who you want to be. Find out what works for you in a way that's kind and gentle to your heart by getting quiet with yourself and peeling back the layers of your thoughts.”Is it possible to fully overcome fear? Jenn's motto is that you feel the fear and you do it anyway because you can never truly get rid of fear. Fear protects us from danger and keeps us safe. Part of understanding your own mind is understanding what your fear is of … what exactly are you afraid of? Because sometimes we are actually afraid of the opposite thing that we might first think. For example, when you really get quite - you might be afraid of succeeding ... not failure. It's not about getting rid of the fear, it's about looking at the fear and seeing what it's rooted in and then ask yourself what the fear is telling you about yourself … and then ask yourself if you want that story for yourself.Jenn's programs: Jenn has created a program where she helps women reconnect to themselves. She believes that no one is meant to go through anything alone; we are meant to belong and operate in community together. Jenn works one on one with her clients to help them expand and live in their own life once and for all. She will help you to find where your heart is truly at, what you really want - and what's in your way of getting there. The goal is to be infinity connected because the more you connect to your truest self, the better and better you will feel. Know that it's never too late to come back to and step into the fullness of who you are. Get in touch with Jenn:Instagram: @Jennforgie Website: Jennforgie.com
