Cinematographer Giovani Lampassi was filming on location in Louisiana in 2005 when Hurricane Katrina hit. He witnessed first hand the devastation of the people and how quickly their belongings became reduced to what could fit in a garbage bag. This got him thinking about how he could be prepared for the eventual earthquake in Los Angeles.

In this episode, we talk about what a 72 hour bag is, how you can have one, what goes in one and why.

Giovani has worked on shows like Party Down, Up All Night, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and SuperStore. He’s known amongst his friends and colleagues as being "uber prepared". He encourages all of his co-workers and family members to have a 72HourBag, and he’s spent hours and hours of his personal time combing over the details of his bag and perfecting it to a science.
