The King Is Coming: Recognize Who He Is

He asked his followers, “Who do people say I am?” Peter had it right, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” There is no better way to prepare for Christmas in this Advent season that to sharpen our focus on the reason for the season—who the Messiah is and what he came to do.

Stir up your power, O Lord, and come. Take away the burden of our sins and make us ready for the celebration of your birth, that we may receive you in joy and serve you always; for you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.  Amen.
