Here We Stand: Augsburg Confession
-------------------------------------------------------------------

"What does it mean to be a Lutheran? "  Have you ever been asked that question?   It means  that we believe that we are saved by Grace Alone (it's all because of  the undeserved love of Jesus), through Faith Alone (We don't work to achieve salvation), on the basis of Scripture Alone (We have no other authority, except the Word of God).  And all this is ours In Christ Alone.

To be a Lutheran means to believe as Martin Luther believed and teach as he taught.  It means to stand with him on a bold confession of faith and to subscribe to the Book of Concord - because it is faithful to the Word of God.

Join us  through this Here We Stand series  to better understand the Lutheran Confessions and the history into which they were written.  We'll explore the context of each of the writings of the Book of Concord and share some insights to help us better understand and appreciate them.  So whether you are an avid reader of the Book of Concord or have never cracked one open, this series is for you.

Would you like to own your own copy of the Book of Concord?  It's an inexpensive way to have these beautiful Lutheran writings at your fingertips and use them educationally and devotionally.  Below are links to two different versions that we are recommending.

Concordia: The Lutheran Confessions - A Reader's Edition of the Book of Concord
Book of Concord : Kolb Wengert Edition

Make sure to find the other titles in this series or check out a different series or one of our sermons from Grace on our Most Certainly True Podcast channel.  We’d love to have you grow with us.
