POPE URGES PEOLE TO LET GO OF GREED, AND HOLIDAY GIFT GIVING

My dear friends, as we are leaving this year behind us soon. 2023 will be near us shortly.
I read  Pope Francis message in the LA Times and had to talk about it.
As well as the brilliant writer Robin Abcarian who talks about getting lousy presents for Christmas..
I believe it is in the giving that we receive our gifts...As I told my husband and my best friend I don't want any gifts.....Of course this was never me as a child.
I was so greedy and wanted so much because I had nothing, or very little and had to share everything with my brother.
Family members thought the way to teach children to share is get them one present!!!!! You tell that to a 7 and 8 year old....
That ain't going to work.
I wanted tell  my beliefs for the season and read my favorite prayer to you,
The St Francis Prayer.
