In this episode, we highlight Deidra’s journey as a licensed social worker and counselor, her personal keys to mental health and wellness, and the painful process she has had to endure to birth her God-given purpose and passion.
Ms. Deidra S. Stewart, MSW, LISW-CP is a native of Greenwood, MS. She attended Mississippi Valley State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. She furthered her education at the University of Southern Indiana, where she received her Masters of Social Work degree. Professionally, Ms. Stewart has over nineteen years of experience in the mental health field. She has worked in various settings, serving all ages: schools, community agency, hospital outreach, intensive outpatient, and faith based nonprofit organizations. Ms. Stewart is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and the National Association of Social Workers. In addition to being a therapist, she is a certified life coach, consultant, notary public and adjunct professor.
Aside from her professional career, she is an ordained evangelist and mentors young people. She has served on many community and ministry boards, and feels her life’s purpose is to bring healing and hope to the whole person.
