#002.  Today’s guest is Hasina Lookman.  On today’s show, I have a really interesting conversation with Hasina, who is dedicated towards empowering women & kids with financial literacy, investing and entrepreneurship skills through her company ExplorerHop.

Hasina and I talk about gender differences in the financial knowledge between young women and young men.  We discuss how parents can empower young women through normalizing discussions around money.  We go into the benefits of putting kids in control of their own finances.  Hasina talks about why parents have to meet kids in their world to help them understand how money works and the role gamification plays in all of that.  We talk about gaps in our education system around the world and why an understanding of economics and global economies will help kids learn about investing and why engaging them through the stock market can bring those concepts to life.
