038: Husband And Wife Learning About Money, Teaching Their Kids How To Respect Money

In this episode you will hear Nestor and his wife Jennifer Salgado talk about their first memories of money.  Nestor is a Real Estate agent and Jennifer is a credit repair specialist.  Nestor is originally from Mexico and can remember when he was in the 3rd grade, walking along the train to go to school and deciding then that he wanted to live a better life than being poor.  Jennifer looks back at when she was 15 years old and her Dad told her if she wanted a car she would have to earn the down payment, so she decided she was going to get a job.  Nestor's parents did not talk to him about money so he did not know how it worked but knew he wanted a better life.  Jennifer's parents did not talk with her about money either but when she was 18 years old she started working at a Bank and learned about credit, saving money and made it a goal to make large deposits in her account as she saw the banks customers doing.  Since having kids of their own they have made it a priority to teach them how to respect money and what they should be doing with it.
