WOMEN IN GRIDIRON SHOW - THE HUDDLE - HILLS VALKYRIES w CAITLYN WILLEMS PLUS THE BREAKDOWN (VALKYRIES v WOLVERINES)

This week we welcome special guest Caitlyn Willems from The Hills Valkyries. The panelists talk about the importance of "finding your tribe" and dive into the key qualities a good team has.

The panel talk about team culture and the impact it has on relationships within that playing environment. The panelists then break down the game from Gridiron West between the Valkyries and the Wolverines.

We start the show with ‘The Huddle’ where the pannel welcome Caitlyn Willems from the Hills Valkyries. Willems is in to her second season and she talks about how she got started playing and wanting to expand the sport with her father. She sheds light into building awareness into women's gridiron and just expanding the sport from her local community.

She then talks about some of the barriers she has had to face along the way, as well as coming into the team. The panel then dive into the importance of a nurturing team environment. Being part of a healthy team culture is key in any successful side especially building on long term goals for the club. The panel share their experiences and insights.

In this week’s dose of ‘The Breakdown’, we take a detailed look into the match from Gridiron West. We start with the matchup between the Valkyries and Wolverines. The Valkyries have a big task this week when they face the powerhouse Wolverines. Being a developing team the Valkyries have an opportunity to leave no stone unturned.

With every match they have gotten better but importantly, they are starting to build that connection between the players. However it will be a tough match to pull of against a hard hitting side like the Wolverines. Especially with their running back who loves to power through defence. The Valkyries will have to bring their defensive game if they have any opportunities in the contest.

Finally on "Rapid Fire" the panel talk about their favourite game day tunes. What's your favourite tune on game day?
