WOMEN IN GRIDIRON SHOW- ALL BALL - RHYANNA EDBROOKE, OUTBACK DEFENSIVE LINE, THE JOURNEY

On ‘All Ball’ we focus on our special guest Rhyanna Edbrooke. Rhyanna is a D-line player from Western Australia. We look at her stellar rise in her career so far and how she has been able to train and be ready for a late call up. 

She started in 2016 in the Ladies Gridiron League before transferring into full-contact gridiron. 

It was a steep learning curve to learn a new game but Rhyanna quickly developed a love for the game and became the only WA player in the 2017 Outback squad, and won the MVP for Game 3. Impressive for for a rookie!

Now a veteran player in the Outback team, Rhyanna has developed her game and strength and conditioning to be ready for a late call up in the 2022 Outback squad. 

Rhyanna was called up 11 days before the tournament. Preparation ended up being critical after having two seasons of match fitness and being a Strength and Conditioning coach and an Advanced Rehab Specialist allowed for frequent training opportunities.
