TIGERS WIN UPSETS PREMIERS AND MAGIC ROUND PREVIEW

We are getting into that phase of the competition when clubs really need to prove they have the mettle and skill to match up to some formidable clubs. 

In the past round, there were some victories with big margins, and two upsets – with the biggest upset coming from the Wests Tigers getting their first win of the season over reigning premiers the Penrith Panthers. It was quite a game in Bathurst and it was great to see the Tigers players joyous from their victory.  

We touch on the best and worst performances of Round 9, discuss the Penrith Panthers and are excited about the upcoming NRLW competition. 

We preview Magic Round which will be held in sunny Brisbane - three days of rugby league in perfect weather at Lang Park, but we all hope the turf isn’t an enemy to the players and can hold up until the last match on Sunday. 

The Newcastle Knights have the BYE this round and will spend the week looking inward to return to their exciting form for fans.
