NRL SHOW - BONUS EPISODE - OUR STATE OF ORIGIN GAME 1 PICKS

*Team Predictions for NSW and QLD Origin teams ahead for Game 1 on 31 May

This is a bonus episode outside of our usual weekly show. The panel took some time a few weeks back to discuss which players they would like to see make up the State of Origin NSW and QLD teams for Game 1 on the 31st of May.

Since the State of Origin competition began in June 1980, there have been 38 series, with QLD winning 22 of them, NSW winning 16, and 2 draws. In terms of historical match wins, Queensland has won 63, NSW have won 54 and 2 matches resulted in a draw. 

Origin selectors have been closely analysing player performances over the past 11 rounds, as we anticipate the final team list release for Game 1 of Origin. 

We are only 10 days from Origin and incumbents will be hoping to keep their spot, while others with consistent and outstanding performances will be hoping to don the jersey for their state. 

Until the official lists are posted this is our discussion on players that could be great selections. Let me reinforce, we are not professional selectors and we are interested and invested spectators that follow the NRL weekly and love Origin.  

*By the time this episode is released, there may be some significant changes to the availability of players, due to injuries, suspensions and fitness following the remaining matches. Therefore, please note this episode may mention some players that may no longer be an option.
