This week in episode four, Nish continues her conversation with colleague and In Focus Show Director- Laine Arrowsmith. Laine shares some incredible insight from working within various codes across the sporting industry. Laine talks about the challenges facing athletes post career, as countless players continue to experience hardship and genuine battles in retirement. While most of us think about the leading players within sport, Laine offers her voice to other individuals that may not have a plan B in place. 

Through this interview, Laine also highlights the important role Pacific Island nations play within sport, and the positive impact these athletes have made for their people back home as well as how these countries have shaped the Australian sporting landscape.  While we have seen some amazing talent over the years, Laine offers the reminder that we have only just scratched the surface. With more funding, improved infrastructure and pathways, the potential for other sporting codes is endless.
