"덕후" /deok-hu/ is a term derived from the Japanese term "Otaku" (おたく) referring to someone who is obsessed with something. Now to be referred to as such before sometimes implied a little bit of condescension. But times have changed, and fans of all shapes & colors have found a variety of things while showing their favorites their love-- comfort, sisterhood (or brotherhood), friendships, empty wallets and what-not.
