Episode 35: New Year's Eve (Detroit) #2

Here is New Year's Eve in Detroit -- Part 2. I should note that the four parts that I'm going to upload don't flow together seamlessly. They all have quite distinctive feels that are quite different from the others. Since these are samplers of what the night would have sounded like live I wanted to neatly orchestrate these podcasts so that they would showcase various points in the night. In this sampler I showcase melodic tech and progressive house with wicked percussion riding along rolling baselines, shiny horns and infectious grooves. The mix eventually gives way to vaguely familiar rhythms and melodies -- all while still keeping the sound firmly rooted in *today*. I would say that this is a set that has an amazing energetic foundation while still keeping an uplifting overall feel. As always...every sound, rhythm and vibe originated in my heart!
