"The two most important days in your life are the day you’re born -- and the day you find out why."  - Mark Twain

IKIGAI:
Ikigai is often referred to as a “reason for being,” “reason to get out of bed,” “life worth living,” or “thing that you live for.” Essentially, ikigai is your life purpose. It’s a way to develop powerful meaning in your life by focusing on something of great importance to you based on your beliefs, values, and sense of identity. Everyone’s ikigai is different, and typically it evolves throughout your life.

1. What You Love
2. What You’re Good At
3. What the World Needs
4. What You Can Be Paid For

Okinawa, Japan, is referred to as the Village of Longevity. Life expectancy there has been ranked as some of the highest in the world for many years. The locals refer to their ikigai as one of the primary reasons for this. Multiple studies have linked ikigai to decreased disease, increased life span, and overall satisfaction and happiness.

Universal Boss Theory:
Imagine you walk into work tomorrow, and your boss says to you:

(Your Name), I have a change in assignment for you.
For the foreseeable future, your job is to:

1. Impact: the most people, in the most positive way you can.
2. Something true to you: Doing something you’re good at, and truly enjoy.

The better you meet those two criteria, the more you’ll be compensated. Go!
