Jerry was born in Detroit, Michigan. His father opened the first automatic transmission repair shop in Detroit in 1946. This is where Jerry first learned how to work on cars.

Jerry started his first company in New York in 1979, which he sold to his business partner.

He then moved to Plano in August 1980 to start The Auto Shop. The Auto Shop began in January 1981 and is currently the largest independent auto repair facility in Northeast Texas. Jerry started in the commercial real estate business in Texas in 1992. And at one time owned almost 30 acres of Plano. Today, he focuses on commercial buildings, like retail strip centers and office buildings. In 2004 Jerry built and started the second express exterior car wash in the State of Texas, which he owned and operated for 15 years.

Jerry started Business Builders Mentor and Mastermind (BBMMUSA.com) in 2015 to help younger business owners succeed.
