This week on Midnight Showing, Luke and Nash take a look at a the British crime thriller The Layer Cake Starring Daniel Craig. Based on the book of the same title, The Layer Cake is an interesting take on the classic crime film, and the expectations we would have for something of that nature.

Set in London around the time of its release, we follow Daniel Craig, a mid level cocaine dealer, who wants an early retirement from criminal life. Of course in the criminal world, it's never as easy as “just walking away”, as Craig soon finds himself thrust into the complicated pair of two jobs that will make is exit from the criminal life even harder than he previously expected.
