Warren Domestic Violence Protection Program and Frederik Meijer Gardens Feature

July 6, 2025 ~ Warren Police Commissioner Eric Hawkins joins Michigan Voices to talk about the Warren Police Department's partnership with the city of Warren, the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office, Wayne State University, a 37th District Court judge, and the nonprofit Turning Point Macomb in launching a first-of-its-kind domestic violence prevention program. The initiative, called Operation Cycle Break, will take their domestic violence approach from reactive to proactive.

Then, the CEO of Meijer Gardens, Charles Burke, joins the show to discuss Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, which is a 158-acre botanical garden, outdoor sculpture park, and art museum located in Grand Rapids. It features a stunning collection of over three hundred sculptures created by renowned artists worldwide. The gardens include a tropical conservatory, an 8-acre Japanese garden, and a series of outdoor gardens and nature trails.
