Screening for Lung Cancer and Helping Families in need

Nov. 10, 2024 ~ November is Lung Cancer Awareness month, the leading cause of cancer death in the U.S., accounting for about one in five of all cancer deaths. Dr. John Hilu, a Corewell Health thoracic surgeon, talks about the lifesaving potential of lung cancer screenings. This screening makes it possible to detect disease at an earlier stage when it’s more curable. Dr. Hilu shares who is eligible to get one, why you should get screened (even with no physical symptoms), and what the screening entails.
