The Lord's Table - The Wine (Part 4) :: 11/5/23

John Driver addresses some of the difficulties the modern mind has with Jesus’s use of the term “blood” as connected to wine that we drink. Returning to God’s covenant “blood walk” with Abram in Genesis 15, we learn that these practices and images reach far deeper than we often understand today, but that Christ’s new covenant revealed at His table is the best of news, calling us to into the light and life of the bread and wine rather than the darkness of the sacrifice and death of flesh and blood that we deserve.
