The Cost of Sacrifice

There are five offerings or sacrifices prescribed in the Old Testament of the Bible for worship. The burnt offering, or sacrifice, was the most costly and revealed the fearful price and reality of what our sin costs. Total separation from God. Yet convenience in religion cheapens the value of sacrifice, and in a culture of convenience, we have to be aware of this convenience working against our Christian walk.
