In Judges 2 we read that the next generation after Joshua did NOT have a personal relationship with God. How did this happen? Was Joshua so focused on leading that the didn't even think about mentoring a successor like Moses had done with him? Fathers, are we so focused on leading in other places that we are NOT mentoring our children? Business leaders, are we so concerned with growing the business that we forget to mentor the younger employees? We cannot dismiss the significance of mentoring the next generation, so that they too will know God and know their purpose.
